Button

So here I was. An hour before the show where my dragon should spit fire.

And for some unknown reason, the pushbutton that triggers the electrical circuit was gone.

Not broken, but just plain gone. Enter panic.

From my little bag of technical stuff I then took a clothespin, some glue and two drawing pins, the Americans call them thumbtacks.

Dutch drawing-pins look like mushrooms. they have one stem, the actual pin, and  a flat head where you are supposed to press your thumb on.

So I removed a bit of insulation from the ends of both wires, wrapped them around the drawing pin stems and pushed one in each of the ends of the clothespin. Not at the beak, but at the other end, the end you are supposed to push on .

Then I glued the whole contraption to the dragon and you know what, it worked!        Actually it still works and it works very well. And you know I am Dutch. Clothespins are way cheaper then pushbuttons.
